Adar Gandelsman
Adar Gandelsman (Hebrew: Adr gndlsmn; born 5 December 1997) is an Israeli model and beauty pageant title holder. Adar was Miss Israel's 2017's initial runner-up, receiving the title Miss Universe Israel. She also participated in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. Adar was a part of the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, but she did not place. Gandelsman and Miss Universe Iraq Sarah Idan snapped a picture together at the pageant. In December of 2017, Idan and her family left Iraq in protest at the Iraqi citizens over her pose to take a photo with Miss Israel who had also been a member of the Israel Defense Forces at the time. At the time, Gandelsman was born in Ashkelon, Israel, and is the daughter of Ashkenazi Jewish parents who immigrated to Israel from Brazil in 1992.
